Hip Hop has become one of the defining cultures of our life time. From fashion to language to the music itself hip hop culture has spread across the world influencing millions.

The Shiftee Crew are proud to present Back to Front!

Back to Front will chronicle the many stages of Hip Hop History in one epic FREE day party at one of Melbourne’s best bars The Workshop.

11 DJ’s / 4 Era’s of Hip Hop History

The Samples 4:30 – 6:30

Arks (MVP) and Danielsan (Koolism) will be bring you all those classic samples in their original glory to hear where those legendary producers got their inspiration.

The Birth of the Beat 6:30 – 8:30

Mike Hunt (Bootay) and Shiftee regular Jellyfish (C.S.S.) will be juggling up a set of some of the earliest incarnations of hip hop up through to the 80’s and even some special booty tunes from the early Miami Bass scene.

The 90’s 8:30 – 11:30

Shiftee regulars Aux One (Wax Museum), Thaddeus Doe (UFI), Low Key (MVP) and Phoney Starks will be holding down the golden era of rap in traditional Shiftee style!

New Era 11:30 – Close

Get Bu$y (LLBC), Stephelles (Favela/Re-Up) and Steezy (Hood Pass Radio/Re-Up) have the new era all sewn up get low to dirty south and straight up new era jams till the end of the night!

It’s gonna be one hell of a day party!
