Stable Music & Fünf Touring present..

Capacity 250 – Musical Pioneer, Jeff Mills

After 2 years of carefully selected talent from all corners of the globe, high production and design standards, Capacity is well overdue for a birthday party. From Luke Slater to Oscar Mulero and many others that have shaped a genre, Capacity stays true to its form for another experience into the origins of Techno music.

Jeff Mills – Axis / Purpose Maker / Something in the Sky

Jeff Mills is undoubtedly one of the founding fathers of techno music. Starting out as radio DJ The Wizard on Detroit’s WJLB before teaming up with Tony Sprock in the late 80s to form the industrial inspired Final Cut project, Mills met former Parliament bassist Mad Mike Banks. The two hit it off and soon the Underground Resistance studios came into being, fusing Banks’ keyboard and synth collection with Mills’ recording equipment and technical know-how. Out of this studio and collaboration came some of the most important tracks in the evolution of techno, soon to be enhanced by the arrival of a young rapper named Robert Hood. Performing in uniforms comprised of ski masks and black combat suits, Underground Resistance captured the revolutionary imagination of the dance world and built a huge fan base in Europe. A deal with the German label Tresor soon grew out of some UR licensing and Mills later set up Axis, a label run by himself and Robert Hood. Mills’ hasn’t looked back ever since. Whether it’s his ever minimal yet highly complex live sets, his rescoring of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis or his multi-media re-visiting of The Rings Of Saturn, he always treads a careful line between dance music and art.

Matt Radovich – Stable Music / Melbourne Techno Collective

Matt Radovich is a character to say the least. Radovich is one of the founding members for the infamous MTC Crew – the Melbourne Techno Collective (which has run strong for 12 years and they are still bringing TECHNO to the masses). Matt has an alter ego as well and it is something to witness. Matt, AKA Mike Hunt, is a cheeky, mischievous dj whose main goal is to make girls Asses shake across this great country. Matt’s vast music knowledge has been making people move all across this great state, in its’ tremendous bars and nightclubs as well as it’s fine festivals. He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of the music industries biggest names from DJ Shadow, Aphex Twin to Underground Resistance and WuTang clan.

Adrian Bell – Bunker / Stranger

Born & raised in Melbourne, Australia, Adrian bell enjoys collecting, playing and pushing proper dark, brooding techno – the weirder, the harder, the more abstract, the better! Drawing inspiration from the likes of Xhin, Psyk, Developer, Lucy & Mary Velo he is infatuated with making people move involuntarily through music.

He is also the founder/operator of Bunker, a collective, brand & website which is focused around pushing techno from Melbourne and beyond through events, parties, interviews, mixes, reviews, charts and other varied mediums as well as supporting local techno DJ’s and producers.
